Frequently asked questions
Can you restock an item that is sold out?
It depends on the item. Many of my pieces could be restocked upon request, but some were made with supplies that are no longer manufactured. However, feel free to send me a message, I may be able to work with you to create something similar using slightly different components.
Do your items contain lead or nickel?
With the exception of stained glass sun catchers (which are made with lead solder), no, I make sure my jewelry supplies are free of lead and nickel safe. I do not want to be exposed to those materials any more than you do!
Can I have a longer chain on my necklace?
Yes, just leave a note in the “notes to seller” box at checkout. If you are lengthening a gold-filled or sterling silver chain by more than a few inches, an upcharge may apply.
Why is my item tarnished?
Most metals, but especially raw brass and copper, are prone to tarnishing over time. My raw brass and copper items are untreated so they will develop a patina with age unless polished regularly. Shining them, if desired, is pretty easy though. All they need is a gentle scrub with a little paste of lemon juice and salt (or even ketchup works!) and then to be rinsed and patted dry. There are also finishes that can be applied to slow down the tarnishing process, message me if you like to discuss that option further.
Do the earrings include backs?
Post earrings do, for all other styles you may request them at no additional cost, just leave me a note in the box at checkout.
